Private Equity groups often look at leadership after a transaction is complete, as part of the restructuring of the internal processes. At Aphesis we have found that identifying those key players who will be instrumental in ensuring the transaction’s success from an operational perspective is a valuable tool in the valuation and negotiation phase. 

It is certainly not news to any seasoned PE investment group that leadership can make or break an acquired company. What may be overlooked is how to measure leadership capability and capacity and how to identify those high-performing leaders who will drive success in the acquisition process

HOW WE PARTNER

We work with PE investment groups to perform assessments of the leadership team from C-Suite to Middle management.  Our assessments provide a measurable gauge of leadership capability and capacity.  How well can this person lead and how much bandwidth does this person currently have to perform at their maximum capacity in that role?

Additionally, we can offer the LEaD program to PE teams post-acquisition to improve middle management’s leadership skills during the transition.  This provides buy-in from the management, coaching to identify succession plans and investment in the acquired company’s leadership team that inspires confidence and loyalty.

ASSESSMENTS FOR PRIVATE EQUITY

We grow what we know. LEaD’s Assessment Phase sets the baseline of each participant’s leadership, creating a solid foundation for future growth.

The heart of LEaD’s Assessment Phase is the completion and debrief of our core suite of assessments. Participants will select their LEaD process raters, complete the EQ-360 and Time Analysis assessments, and participate in a 1:1 debrief session with a LEaD practitioner.

The output of these debriefs is a baseline Actual Effective Influence Score identifying a participant’s capability and capacity for transformational leadership. This AEI serves as the baseline for tracking growth trends in the Growth Phase.
